 WHAT IS HARD DISK DRIVE?

                Hard disk drive is also known as HARD DISK or  HARD DRIVE. IBM recognized the application for what it termed a "Random Access File" having high capacity and rapid random access at the low cost. .The first hard drive was invented by an engineers in IBM's California SAN JOSE in 1953.The disk drive created a new level in computer data, and then termed in random access storage but now-a-days it is known as secondary storage. It is less expensive and slower than main memory but faster than tape drive.
